Cost & Registration
Tickets are $8 per person (every guest over 12 months old needs a ticket, adults included); zoo members attend free. Advance online purchase required - events can sell out. Animal feed available for $10 in the gift shop.
About This Deal
The Learning Zoo hosts Homeschool Days roughly once a month on Fridays during the school year, with a morning session (10am-12pm) and an afternoon session (12pm-2pm). Homeschoolers from across the Houston area gather to bond over their shared excitement for nature and science.
Each Homeschool Day features a unique theme with special activities geared towards ages 5-11, plus complimentary crafts, a scavenger hunt, and an animal presentation each session. Students have the opportunity for up-close, personal interactions with ambassador animals and can explore the facility's diverse collection of live animals and reptiles.
The zoo is owned and operated by a professional zookeeper with over 15 years of experience. Staff includes educators passionate about bringing children and families closer to nature through hands-on learning experiences.
