About This Deal
The Science Mill's mission is to give all kids the confidence, tools, and support to reach their full potential in a future STEM workforce. They focus on reaching elementary and middle school students with little or no access to STEM programs to ignite interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Monthly Homeschool Days have ended, but the Science Mill still hosts occasional larger Homeschool Day events with themed, hands-on Learning Labs, special guests, and activities - check the upcoming events page for the next one. Homeschool groups are also welcome to book the field trip program, which includes exhibits, Learning Labs, and science shows; email [email protected] for guidelines.
The Learning Labs have increased capacity, offering two sessions for Ages 5-7 and Ages 8-10, and one midday session for Ages 11-17. Typical event themes include a zoology-themed kick-off, a Science Fair where students can present their projects for judging by STEM professionals, and a Career Fair with local STEM experts.
The Science Mill, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is housed in a historic 1880 feed mill in Johnson City, Texas.
