About This Deal
Deering Estate's Homeschool programs provide supplemental and experiential learning curriculum for homeschool youth in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Marine Biology, Archaeology, Zoology, History, and Art. Located at an environmental, archaeological, and historic preserve in Palmetto Bay, the program emphasizes hands-on, nature-based learning experiences. Students engage with Florida's natural resources through field studies and interactive curriculum. Programs include regular enrichment classes on Wednesdays (10am-12pm), Wildlife Conservation Homeschool (ages 9-14), and Marine Conservation Homeschool (ages 9-14). The preserve is situated east of Old Cutler Road and SW 168 Street in south Miami-Dade County. Note: Homeschool programming has moved to nearby Miami-Dade park locations (currently A.D. Barnes Nature Center and Castellow Hammock Park & Preserve) — check the website for current sites.
