About This Deal
Homeschool in the Hammock is a Miami-Dade Parks program for homeschool students ages 6-13 at Camp Owaissa Bauer. Each season is a multi-part, hands-on series on one theme. The posted fall series is a four-part rocketry program that moves from paper straw rockets to balloon, stomp, and water bottle rockets and then to model rocketry, covering thrust, Newton's laws, air pressure, and aerodynamics. Some activities have age limits.
Camp Owaissa Bauer is a Miami-Dade county park in Homestead. The program also explores the park's pine rockland habitat.
