Free Homeschool Tools and the Nationwide Hub
New resources that work wherever you homeschool
Not everything useful is tied to a zip code. That's the idea behind two things we've built recently: a set of free homeschool tools and a Nationwide deals hub. Both are available to every homeschool family in the US, regardless of where you live.
Free Homeschool Tools
We keep hearing the same thing from parents: homeschooling is expensive, and the ancillary costs add up. Teacher ID services charge $20-40 a year. Planning tools come with monthly subscriptions. Printable calendars cost money for some reason.
So we built a few things and gave them away.
Homeschool Teacher ID Card
A printable teacher identification card you can use when asking for educator discounts. Upload your photo or take a selfie right from your phone. You don't need an account, a subscription, or even an email address.

The Nationwide Hub
Our directory started as a local guide (Texas listings, then Florida), but some of the best homeschool deals aren't local at all. They're national programs that any family can use.
The Nationwide hub collects these in one place:
- Pizza Hut Book It!: Free pizza for kids who hit their reading goals. A classic that's still running.
- Kids Bowl Free: Free bowling all summer at participating alleys nationwide.
- Braum's Book Buddy: Free ice cream for kids who read, available at any Braum's location.
- Field Trip Fridays: Curated weekly field trip ideas that work across the country.
Homeschool Travel Deals
One of the real advantages of homeschooling is that you can travel when everyone else is in school. Off-peak rates, empty museums, shorter lines.
We added a dedicated travel deals section to the Nationwide hub, displayed on an amber band on the homepage. These are family-friendly travel discounts with educational value baked in, the kind of trip where your kids learn something and you don't feel guilty calling it a school day.
We're continuing to research and add travel deals as we find them. If you've stumbled on a travel program that works well for homeschool families, we'd like to hear about it.
Why Give Things Away
Fair question. The tools and the Nationwide hub exist because they solve real problems. A parent shouldn't need to pay for a teacher ID card when a printable one works just as well at most venues. A family shouldn't have to dig through ten websites to find out that Kids Bowl Free exists.
Our job is to make homeschooling a little less expensive and a little less time-consuming, whether that means listing a local museum's discount or building a free tool from scratch.
